General Information
Textile Technologies and Design Faculty offers three graduate programs:
1. Textile Engineering Master of Science Program
2. Apparel Retail and Fashion Management Non-Thesis Program
3. Textile Engineering PhD Program

Applications to Textile Engineering Master of Science Program
The evaluation criteria for admission of foreign students and Turkish citizen students who are graduates of national universities are as following:
National student/foreign student admission evaluation criteria:
-In the new applications or lateral transfer applications, compliance with application conditions listed in the I.T.U. Graduate Education & Learning Regulations Senate principles, accepted in the 434-Senate Meeting dated 27.07.2006, is required.
-Among the candidates meeting the application requirements, only the application of the students who submitted all the documents, required by the Graduate School of Science Engineering and Technology, within the application dates posted by Rectorate, will be accepted.
-The candidates who will apply for Master program must have an undergraduate degree in engineering fields. The students with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of minimum 2.2/4.00 (or 58/100) and ALES score of minimum 70 are eligible for application. Admitted students who have completed their engineering undergraduate degree in the fields apart from Textile Engineering have to enroll in the Scientific Preparation Program.

-Taking into account the above mentioned evaluation criteria, with LES/ALES quantitative score having a 50% effect, the undergraduate and/or graduate grade point averages and interview results are evaluated comprehensively and the successful candidates are announced, along with, if available, a waiting list.
International student/foreign student admission evaluation criteria:
-Candidates must primarily meet the requirements of I.T.U. Graduate School of Science Engineering and Technology seeked for international students/foreign students
-Candidates who will apply for a graduate degree must possess a degree in “Textile Engineering” or similar named engineering undergraduate degrees. Candidates who will apply for a doctorate degree must possess a degree in “Textile Engineering” or similar named engineering graduate degrees.
-Candidates who will apply for a graduate degree must have an undergraduate grade point average of minimum 3.00/4.00 (or 76/100).
Applications of Retail Apparel and Fashion Management Evening Education Master Program

For the application of this program,
-Candidates must have an undergraduate degree.
-Candidates must have an undergraduate grade point average of minimum 2.00/4.00.
-Candidates must have an English Proficiency Exam score of 65/100 from İTU School of Foreign Languages
-ALES is not required for admission.

Applications to Textile Engineering PhD Program
The evaluation criteria for admission of foreign students and Turkish citizen students who are graduates of national universities are as following:
National student/foreign student admission evaluation criteria:

- The candidates who will apply for Doctorate program must complete one of their undergraduate or graduate degrees in Textile Engineering field. The score of ALES must be at least 70.
- The students who will enroll in Doctorate program with an undergraduate degree must have a graduate grade point average (GPA) of minimum 3.25/4.00 (or 82.5/100).
- Taking into account the above mentioned evaluation criteria, with LES/ALES quantitative score having a 50% effect, the undergraduate and/or graduate grade point averages and interview results are evaluated comprehensively and the successful candidates are announced, along with, if available, a waiting list.
